It’s very catchy and I can understand people finding it obnoxious for sure

I really only vaguely remember the song that was on a Taco Bell commercial and how some hardcore fans panicked over being with the in-crowd and going mainstream lol

I hid away on the sidelines a lot watching them, partly because the people I was with weren’t going in there, main standing section was all a pit, 360 degrees and really fucking wild - I’ll always go in a pit but even back in the day when I wasn’t an old cunt that one would have had me thinking of a potential injury.
It was just constant whole way through and what I loved is despite that for a few songs everyone down there was still going crazy and not singing the lyrics but instead singing the riffs clear as day.
They delivered imo

To be honest hardcore hasn't really been on my radar much, which may contribute to me enjoying this band so much, I'm not really worried about if this is staying true to the genre or not.

i saw them headline in the same venue i just saw the national headline a couple months ago (to give an idea of size)... pit was wall to wall massive and non stop except for underwater boi and alien love call, which was being screamed at the absolute top of everyone's lungs. i lost both shoes, buddy crushed his glasses... insane time
i prefaced this show to my friends (who had no idea who they were) that this was the modern equivalent of seeing nirvana in '91 in terms of vibes and i think they very much delivered on that

Generator off the previous album most obviously has a Nirvana riff but I hear it all over the place with them
Something with that guitar tone mixed with the approach to the rhythm section, it’s like they’re a mix of hardcore and alt rock and when they transition from the hardcore to the alt rock riffs I always think Nirvana, biggest compliment
