'The Comedown and The Sadness Will Never End '
yeah the comedown fucking smacks
and oh damn didnt expect them to get rid of the golden boi who helped them ascend. maybe he left of his own volition?
'Posting on his social media, Jordan says, "I'm really grateful for my 11 years with the band, and extremely proud of all that we have achieved together. I look forward to hearing what they do next, and wish them every success in the future. I'm excited to start this next period of my career, focusing for the meantime on songwriting and production."'

I didn't see that coming, would be really interesting to know the background workings of it, but I'm very intrigued by the new album now

Tbf, I’ve watched interviews where he’s said this was never meant to be a full-time commitment. He didn’t even know what they sounded like when they first met, if I remember rightly.
Going to be very interesting to see where they go from here

It also states they posted the news on their social media, but there’s nothing on there about it

Pretty shocked to hear about JF. Felt like he was seminal to BMTH's sound and I can't really see them pull off the ideas they want without JF. Feels like this wasn't wholly amicable but I'll leave the speculating to the BMTH die hards
Even more so, I'm seeing them live in London Jan and I'm gonna really miss JF's backing vocals

Fish got tired of waiting for Oli to do a decent vocal take I guess.
Cynic in me says band is dead at this point. I love SS as much as the next person, but given Fish’s composition and production has basically been the sound of the band for a decade, they’ll need to fork out a loooot of money on ghostwriters to maintain any stylistic consistency.

Meh, Oli is the creative force behind the band and they arguably released stronger stuff before Fish got involved than after.

Idk I think Fish did really great work with them and they upped their game with him joining the band. Also how are they gonna perform live if Fish doesn't do the vocals for Oli? That's gonna be interesting at the very least

and the new album drops in like two weeks lmao
from what i picked up, he's been the band's main songwriter since he joined, at least besides oli. whatever they do next is about to sound radically different

I don’t know where this idea that now fish is gone they’ll go back to being heavy again is coming from. If I remember right, it was fish who suggested bringing the heavy stuff back after amo. Oli wanted to move away from the core and be done with it. Not entirely sure his departure is a good thing.

BMTH pre-Fish were a band of derivative bootlickers and everything since has been various shades of entertaining car crash. swings and roundabouts etc.
they're too far of the rails to second-guess at this point, but my intuition says that this band in their pop era helmed by Sykes is most likely to double down on basic bitch chart tunes

Apparently it's been postponed again, this time to summer 2024

Groundking, blink twice if Oli is holding you against your will.

There is no way in hell the album they release will be good imo. Hasnt it meant to be coming out for forever now? So its either some perfectionist thing or its a class A cluster fuck. Also no clue what happened to Jona or I killed the Prom Queen since their 2014 revival

IKTPQ tried a WGMF era reunion at Unify a couple of years ago that lasted all of five seconds before someone turfed up a bunch of misogynistic posts Crafter had made and they got soundly cancelled out of AusHC.
