"I'd go there firmly for IA and then promptly leave afterwards"

tbh I don't really understand how one could love IA this much and then consider Currents and Polaris trash.

Cause they’re kinda average and IA is good. I wouldn’t leave the show or call them trash but IA is def miles above those two

They're 3 extremely different bands so idk why you'd expect me to dig all three when they all have different styles.

I mean, in the grand scheme of music they aren't THAT different. Especially Currents. They both heavily focus on ambient atmospheric soundscapes with progcore layered on top.

IA is better but Currents ain't far behind in the progcore genre. Promptly leaving a concert with them still to play is just disrespectful. Emmure on the other hand....

When you boil it down to that then of course its gonna seem like they aren't that different, but the execution and style between both bands is very different. Idk what to tell you man, I've never been impressed by Currents nor do I care to see their unimpressive music live. This band however, I'd love to peep live.

Any band that plays breakdowns is fun to see live imo, regardless of whether their music is actually good or not.

Steak, Polaris fucks live. One of the best sounding live bands I've seen honestly.

Haven't seen Currents. They came here on a fucking crazy tour early 2020 but I missed it because I was sick (non-covid lol). Super bummed about that still lol. I think it was IA, Currents, Polaris and Silent Planet iirc.

I would agree with this if not for the numerous breakdown bands I've seen live that actually sucked. Emmure def being one. Granted I havent seen them in years, but they were t-r-a-s-h last time I saw them. Been probably over a decade since I've seen them, but Acacia Strain also was bad live
