FS1 was probably the best thing they played live last time i saw them. fucking powerful.
and yeah TLLC is their best free, idk how you can argue that

almost same here. Footsteps, FS2, and Anxiety Panoramo seemed to go over well but ehh crowd definitely didn't know these. View From Our Bedroom Window was a weird intro song...didn't really work at all. No FS1 was a huge surprise considering last time I saw them it was huge with the crowd.
a weird order, a serious lack of older material, (2 songs per album (1 from Somewhere but it was fucking TLLC!), and the split songs) and these annoying ass girls talking the whole night right next to me in the dead front kinda limited this performance for me.
this really isn't always a problem but definitely moreso tonight, Jordan is singing/moving and missing the mic sometimes :/

but the highlights made it all worth it
FS2 is fucking huge.
Finally saw the split songs!!!!
saw all our bruised bodies for the first time and that was just as emotionally heavy as I wanted it to be.
There You Are (Hiding Place) was really great live
Encore: The Last Lost Continent into You Ascendant. holy shit it was incredible. i'll say it again: the climax of You Ascendant is the best thing Jordan's done since end of TLLC and it hit hard. i was shaking for my whole ride home. "I will be everything you need"

i think they should just play this album front to back and then encore old stuff at this point.

no way dude. record is great, but if they're playing any album front to back, and I'm paying money, it's gotta be Somewhere

i'd pay good money for any of their albums in full tbh.
I know they've done a few Wildlife shows, maybe that'll get a 10 year.
also, There You Are is growing on me again.

I should check these guys out more. I listened to their most spun songs on Spotify and really liked what I heard.
On the list they go!!!

Larkin, i highly highly highly recommend. i think Wildlife or their debut, Somewhere..., is the best place to start.

I always like to start at the beginning and go chronologically (except when the debuts are supposed to be kinda shit like The National, Jimmy Eat World, Death Cab).
I’m definitely gonna get to it soon(ish). So many bands on my queue.

Curious to see what you’ll think Larkin. I started with Widlife and was hooked immediately. I didnt even start listening to their debut until after a year or so, but I have to see it has the slight edge on Wildlife imo. It just has that special something.

I listened to a few tracks off their debut and was honestly blown away. Ordered their four albums on CD and will check them out ASAP.

Checking their debut on Spotify and fuck, this is fucking good. Singer/vocals is a bit of an acquired taste, but I can deal with it being technically subpar because it’s so full of passion and emotion. That’s far more important to me than it being technically great singing in the best form.

I quickly grew to dig the vocals. The lyrics are actually worth a damn too. He thinks well.

Pretty disappointed by this one unfortunately. The guitar work here is good for what they're going for, but I feel their riff-ier approach on their debut and Wildlife is where they excel.
