Their album covers give a Led Zeppelin feel sometimes.

I love every album by these guys ... except for this ? Midnight Crusade and Son of the Robot are great ... everything else is just kinda standard and boring for them. This is like a super watered down mothership, which was one of their best.

Instant Grat needs to be remastered next. Production aged horribly.

hmm ya I'm been going through their discog the past couple days, the instrumentals too, and by the time I got back to the normal release of Artificial Selection, I found myself pretty bored and more annoyed at Tillian's voice than usual.

I liked him in Tides of Man a lot but I think I'm just getting burnt out on him belting out every single syllable in near-falsetto. And then them over-producing the crap out of him. And putting him so high in the mix.

The Rattler should have had Mess sing-scream the chorus

lowering my rating. songs I loved initially (The Rattler, Count Bassy) just don't sound as good throughout, despite their moments.

A: Gospel Burnout, Bloodsucker, Shelf Life

A-: Flash

B+: Evaporate, Slouch

B: Count Bassy, The Rattler

B-: everything else tbh

still great, just my least favorite Tilian DGD

DGD10 better not suck

i think my biggest problem is that i want to like this all more than i do and I don't think songs reached their full potential (points at Son of Robot).

this is like the ultimate summer jam DGD for me. Midnight crusade and Care are like Perfect summer songs. Also putting Evaporate in anything under A tier is blasphemous tbh. Mothership is def better though LOL.

I still think this is solid, it's very fun throughout minus Count Bassy
