If y'all are having to dig deep and pick out an album you hate for that scenario, you're doing it wrong

Even grandmama with her diminished hearing wouldn't want this playing.

Oh I don't know for sure. I'm just assuming because it got the #1 spot on 2018's staff list.

Let's just say I think it's lucky it came out 2015-2019 because any earlier it would be forgotten - I'm certain of that

A load of big pop releases like say the Lorde debut or Grimes 'Visions' will be lucky to bag a top 100 spot now and really they were bigger at the time than this ever was, here or anywhere else

"Golden Hour album of the decade? It must've been a pretty slow decade"

Doof I'll continue the battle for Lorde's Melodrama to be at least Top 25 on the decade list and absolutely agree that it was monumental (I know you said the debut, but I'm choosing to interpret that as the actual better of her two albums)

if this is your AOTD then it's time to take up archery or backgammon or long walks or something

your time is better spent doing something else

Sowing - the Lorde debut was a big album and if you hopped in the time machine back to that year a load of people would have been saying it was a likely top 100 for the decade (as they prob had it in their top 10s of the year, etc)

time is not always kind to pop

wait wait wait

no one said album of the decade...I'd be a bit miffed as well

but you're in denial if you think it won't be somewhere on the decade 100 considering it was a staff AOTY

Doof - Oh I agree, the debut was bigger culturally and enjoyed a warmer mainstream reception. But Melodrama is art-pop perfected. I actually believe myself that it deserves a spot on the decade list. It's probably somewhere between #25-#15 on my personal decade ranking.

if it came out in 2010 staff AOTY or no I think it would have been dropped by now....probably

bet there's an actual example of something similar from 2010 or 2011 that's sunk down the slippery pole of relevance and/or fashion
