Could Never Be Heaven continues its upward climb. Started as my least favorite (not sure how that was ever the case with No Control around) but I truly adore it now. Something about the lyrics really gives me mwY vibes (might just be the animal imagery and religion, not sure), but decide for yourself:



The whale is well-rehearsed

Swimming circles in the church

A Cardinalfish says, "God is dead"

The whale says, "Get out of my head



Just seems like something Aaron Weiss would write, and I love it. Anyway, probably closer to the middle of the pack in terms of track ranking now, it's easily leapfrogged No Control, Out of Mana, and possibly even Batter Up (which I maintain is their weakest closer since Handcuffs, but still solid).

Mene and I am a Nightmare are a lot easier to enjoy now that I'm not afraid of an album in their style. I dig them as single release fun tracks, I just hated the thought of that style for or on an album

Could Never Be Heaven was amazing to me on first listen, whoever the people are that have been dissing that track are fucking retarded
