"Need a new album from these nerds."
Yeah let me just resurrect Chester using Black Magic...

Yeah, because no band has ever continued after losing a member.

They should just make a brand new Nu-Metal band instead of continue Linkin Park. Without Chester it won't sound like Linkin Park at all.

Starting a nu-metal band in 2021, what could go wrong

A new, nu-metal band with all the original members and Oli Sykes as the vocalist. Now that would be something.

this is pretty hard to listen to, mostly because the music is fairly obnoxious but also because you can clearly see chesters mental state clearly layed out.

when there's a 5-star song buried in between this, it's hard to take anyone giving this a 1 seriously.

Never thought this was much worse than the band's other work tbh. Most of their discog is a 3 for me as it is

every single other studio album is a 3.5+ from me so this is definitely comfortably at the bottom, but i still enjoy it in moments, and the title track alone would keep this from a 1 even if i hated every other track

How did they go from Hunting Party to this!? That being said I don't think it's flat out awful. As a pop album, this kinda works I guess, just should've really been a solo album. I also found it extremely harrowing to listen to knowing what Chester was going through during this. RIP.

The pop melodies on here are pretty good. THP felt really overwrought to me, like they were trying to be something they weren't at that stage of their career. This feels more honestly them. It's a shame the backlash this got right before what happened with Chester, but at the same time, he had to know that this record wouldn't go over well with the majority of his fanbase.

The fact that they went from Living Things to The Hunting Party to One More Light makes it pretty hard to deny that at least one of the two latter albums was made for reasons other than genuine passion. If they went straight from Living Things into One More Light, it still probably would have pissed off a lot of people but it wouldn't really have been that shocking.

nah Living Things to Hunting Party makes sense in that Living Things was a return to the alt metal stuff in some ways, and that Hunting Party took "Victimized" and expand it on a full length release. One More Light is off-kilter bullshit taking a shot at drawing a much younger audience. I wouldn't have minded another pop album like A Thousand Suns (as unfocused as it is), but it's just a terrible pop album.

I would’ve loved to see them take another stab at creating a record like ATS. They had the potential to create some great electro-tinged alt rock and turn it into a concept record, even though their first attempt was very hit or miss
