"literally how are they not? OP was like "K fuck our idiot fanbase didnt like Ire Works so lets just make a really overproduced version of Miss Machine but while still trying to sort of integrate the experimentality of Ire Works in but this time lets just do a way shittier and sloppier job of it and hopefully they will like it better" and then Killer was like "k fuck it lets strip ALL of that jive ass bullshit and just make the blandest possible DEP album we could ever conceive cuz this obviously isn't working""
I have to say, while i'm not really picky on grammar, I had to read your post like 6 times in order to comprehend what you are saying, good God dude.
Anyways, while all 6 Dillinger Escape Plan albums have that Dillinger Escape Plan sound to them, I never got the impression that they were coasting and being unoriginal with any of their albums. Too me, all their albums brought something new to their sound. The Dillinger Escape Plan is nowhere near bland in my opinion.
Also, is Ire Works really hated right now? Everybody I know personally who likes the Dillinger Escape Plan likes Ire Works as much as their other albums.

Oh really? Look at that album's average here compared to the others.

I think on Sputnik average ratings do get somewhat influenced by the initial reviews/staff reviews as a lot of people tend not to rate too far from what seems like a consensus rating. Ire Works got hit with Greer's negative review and a bunch of other staff at the time piled on with low ratings/negative comments. I think that hurt the album quite a bit here and prevented it from picking up momentum.
IRL, I find most people like it more than everything they've done since.

i dont really talk about music i dont like to people outside of the internet tho because i prefer to lose friends here than irl

@climactic the end of sunshine is perfect as it is. The bridge of that song sounds absolutely monstrous as well. MM's production was fine as is.
|

besides even if i hate it, i dont think this one is overproduced or overhyped.
overrated yes but the other 2 no

I mean, its only .3 points away from Miss Machine and One of Us is the Killer. Its not like there is a huge dip between the albums. A lot of those votes could have came from 2007-2008.
"Too me,"
Lol ok, at least my posts are legible.

I think One of Us had the cleanest production out of their discography, but while it was crispy it was still gritty.
