after relistening this is def a light 4. there's some duds in here (I Hope My Life...,Put That Away...,) and it's realllllly long but the amount of great songs on here is impressive

I had this at a 5 at first, I should relisten to it. :/ Forest Fire's still one of the best songs I've heard this year.

Agreed, first week or so of hearing this record was incredible, and then the experience just plummeted for me. Going to listen to it some more and see if I can enjoy it a bit more, I love a lot of the songs here.

It was my first blake album, so it took me a bit to get used to his sound/voice/etc. But every listen just grew more and more.

edit: oh, didn't see who you were replying to, lol

i just find it boring and self-indulgent, the ideas aren't as fully formed as they are on his previous records and this time they're stretched really thin by an unjustifiable running length

I'd heard his self-titled before this, but I think that album holds up much better on repeat listens. It might just be the length, but I don't think there are really any duds on that album. And I obviously like it more, but I agree with anatelier sometimes.

Nope. I already liked this a lot on my first listen but I only became better with each listen

damn, another album I shouldn't have waited until the end of the year to give a listen, this is easily one of the best albums of the year

man this, Andy Stott, Fire! Orchestra, Gold Panda, and Stimming (Gold Panda and Stimming I heard a little before the rest) have essentially obliterated everything else from the year for me

this is really consistent for me in its awesomeness, I mean yeah some songs aren't as on par as others, but there really isn't a bad song on this and the length isn't an issue for me because it's just so good
