either way u look at it it sounds like all the shitty pop from either north america or all the shitty pop from korea and japan but none of the good pop from either.

i dont think this sounds much like any trendy pop out today tbh, the only one i'd say is prolly Kill V Maim which has obvious j-pop influences
the rest is a blend of pop (and pop rock) influences from the past couple of decades and grimes' past work

Plus I hear a little 90s alternative also on songs like "California." "Scream" actually sounds like a song you would play on Halloween - it's really pretty bad but Grimes manages to even make that personable and useful.
