Pop is heading into a good place though. Lorde, Taylor and Kimbra have released some pretty descent pop aimed records, it probably has to do that they are all involved with all the writing and production aspects. Let us hope it continues this way.

someguest is eternally stupid, one of the underlying truths about this place that I always forget when I take breaks from posting



Pure Heroine got lots of acclaim both in the mainstream and elsewhere. I've listened to this album and Pure Heroine a lot (whereas someguest I'm sure you gave each at most a skim through) and there are quite a few very obvious similarities, so I'm guessing there was an influence, which is a pretty safe guess.
