Yeh the new song is really good! It made me very excited for Clairvoyant, starting to like the new direction a lot more

I loved Michael Lessard on their last album but I don't know if I'm sold on his vocals on this one. He's really bad about having this niche and sticking to it. I want to hear him really try to expand and progress on this new album but so far all I get is his flat delivery.
He's a great singer, but it's starting to feel flat.

Wow the new one sounds so much like A Perfect Circle. It's a good sound for them though.

Yeah I enjoy the new songs, but totally agree on Mike Lessard starting to become a little stale sounding. Not that he's bad by any means

really trying to defend this band, but return to earth does not have me feeling very optimistic. and i'm deeply troubled by Lessard's nose piercing

Return to Earth is amazing, best new track so far!

I was initially underwhelmed by Return to Earth, but now love it. The progression is fun, and the instrumentation behind Lessard's vocals is so hypnotic and relaxed. Good stuff.

Clairvoyant is shaping up to be my AOTY so far. I love their new direction and Joey Baca's drumming is so unique and fun to play.
Out of the released songs I'd say it goes; Return to Earth>Absolve>Reimagined>The Center

"the instrumentation behind Lessard's vocals is so hypnotic and relaxed."
Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I feel like Return to the Earth needs a vocal climax and he just never reaches one. And again, sometimes it can work, but i don't think it works on that song. When he was with Last Chance to Reason and did harsh vocals at least he could reach one that way, but this song is held back because of it.

The Center. Wat. Did I miss a single...
Yeah Cosby you're not wrong. The first few listens, it felt like it lacked dynamics, and that was off-putting to me. But now I'm in love with that warm, droning, delayed guitar (or...synth?) that reminds me of Floyd. Hopefully this is a track book-ended by ones with a little more going on.
Edit: Found The Center. It's....ok.

Yeah man, it's hard to wait for this one. I don't get pumped for an album like this except for certain artists. Dreamless and Polaris were the last. I can't stop checking Google for a leak...
Wouldn't feel bad about nabbing the leak either -- just ordered the big bundle from their merch site. So excited.
