Straight to the feels that track. 2021 proves to be the year of dark folk (these are truly apocalyptic times we're living in).
Also, for those who haven't, check out the new Rota Fortunae; excellent dark folk from a fellow sput.

Hey Evreaia, if you want to give it a spin it's currently streaming on YouTube and Bandcamp and I'd love to hear your thoughts on it:

As for the newest Musk Ox song, it sounds absolutely incredible. If the whole album is as good easily gonna be in my top 10 of the year. The intro strings remind me of the Damage Inc intro swells in the best way possible. The production on this album sounds absolutely phenomenal. Listening on my Sennheiser cans, the strings sound so full and massive, but also really intimate at the same time. Would love to have been in the room while this was being recorded. Can't wait to hear the whole thing

That Rota album is bloody fucking awesome. How have I not found out about this album till now. Wayfarer is a standout track
I was always told to not trust a beholder, but I gotta re-evaluate that opinion

@Budgie I made one not too long ago, and you commented on it:

Not much has changed for me since, maybe the new October Falls - Syys and Sangre De Muerdago's - Xuntas from last year.
I also stumbled upon a band called Thurnin's album Menhir from this year, it's absolutely gorgeous if that's your thing:

Thanks for the kind words about the new track everyone, album comes out this Friday! The feedback for the first two songs is really encouraging for us because those are easily the most straightforward tracks on the album. Much epicness awaits...
Also, on the topic of dark folk, the supreme lords Tenhi are on the cusp of dropping their first record in 10 years.
