didn't he write his own lyrics in pretty much all the songs he composed on the 70's
As much as i love Gilmour, it must be said that he wasn't involved very much in the lyrical work. That was Waters's territory. Even in his solo albums, the lyrics were written by third parties.

Gilmour is all about soul and feeling. Words were never his cup of tea.

After not having listened to this album in a while, coming back to it is always a breath of fresh air. Not saying that Division Bell is underrated but i feel like it doesn’t always get the credit it deserves. Sure it might have some weaker lyrical moments, but when I’ve listened to Gilmour, it’s always been about feel to me. The softer parts of this album are so well served through guitar and instrumental passages. Truly awesome to get back into this again!

encumbered forever by desire and ambition
theres a hunger still left unsatisfied
our weary eyes still stray to the horizon
though down this road weve been so many times

Pulse tour indeed, Yankee Stadium on June 11, 1994. I know our boy Notrap also saw them on the tour in Lisbon, I believe.
One of my most cherished concerts that I've ever been to.
Yes, we are old.

Would have been amazing. Think it was at Earls Court over here for a week or so? One of the nights is on YouTube, incredible stuff.
