The production and autotune are really getting on my nerves on this one. Not finished with the album yet, but I already know this probably won't be getting a 4 or higher right away.

Yea it always irked me the band wanted a lo-fi old school record and auto tuned literally everything. Tried so hard to make it sound raw that it just sounds so overproduced.

only thing that holds 27 club back from being their best song

Yeah what the fuck is with this autotune, Jason can clearly sing (see: ALL the clean lines on Fake History, his feature on Pierce the Veil's "Tangled in the Great Escape") so why? Even if he sucked, he could've done the intentional "good bad singer" thing that guys like Geoff Rickly did in the 2000s.

if the production didn't suck, this would EASILY be a 4.1, on par with Fake History

Honestly, yeah. Someone on Reddit recommended "Dreamers Disease" to me at least a year ago and I was so not feeling it at first.

I'm just listening to this again now, it's much better than I thought initially, this is 100% a grower, unlike Fake History which sort of smacked me in the face with how great it was

side note but isn't it funny how they thought Fake History was overproduced, did this album, and then followed it up with an album produced to fuck? it's strange how artists always think their best works are "overproduced", Omar from At the Drive-In can't even listen to Relationship of Command because he thinks it's too produced

Dreamers Disease could have been so much better, considering it was recommended to me as a "breakup song."

That's not even what I'd call the best Three Days Grace breakup song...if it can even class as one to begin with.

Some "breakup" songs I would take over I Hate Everything About You: Last to Know, Gone Forever, Bitter Taste, Home, World So Cold, It's All Over, On My Own, Overrated.

Production literally stops this from being anything higher from a 3.

Everything sounds so plastic and it's just not loud enough, just all blends together.

It's infuriating, yeup. Basically killed my love for this band dead.

Songwriting still overshadows bad producion for me... This would be classic with good sound imho.

i really don't think the production is bad enough to hinder anyone from enjoying this but ... go off ya'll

the songwriting is mostly good enough to make up for the production it does hold it back a little bit but not enough to flat out ruin it
