nothing stands out from the other songs and its always his stand outs on his albums that are the truly masterful tracks.

I agree his standouts like The Wilhelm Scream or Points or I Never Learnt to Share are literally incredible but his newest album got dragged down by a lot of unnecessary tracks imo

Take a Fall For Me is so so cold.

I can see why people might not like his vocals but vintage male crooning is kinda a lost art, I think. I dig it

This is my fave of his. With him, there's usually a few tracks I enjoy a lot, and several others which don't work for me.

After Assume Form this album sounds like despair. It's great, there's just no room to breathe. There's no glimmer of hope.

I reckon this is his most solid album but it lacks a massive track like some of his later more disjointed work

"I reckon this is his most solid album but it lacks a massive track like some of his later more disjointed work"

I somewhat agree with this, it's probably my least favourite JB album but it's also his most sonically cohesive, making "solid" a good way to describe it within the context of his discog, but yeah it has literally no big standout tracks which is unfortunate because JB has always been the type of artist where you have to kinda cherry pick his highlights and put them in a playlist to me
