I have the original CD and always thought it sounded great, but I've been listening to it since I was like 7.

Livecrime has a DVD release, too, sure you could look it up. Not the way to experience it initially, imo. I mean this album is a legitimate GOAT contender.

New metal project with Tate on vocals and Simone Mularoni (DGM) on guitar. First single: https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=289&v=HYsLG2VtTN0

It’s... okay.

Doesn’t come close to anything here, but it’s surprisingly decent.

Tate sounds pretty good for his age

Eh. Probably a better song than anything he's worked on since Promised Land, but his voice still sounds bad imo

Hear in the Now is when he became bad tate for me. Had his moments, but that's when he started doing what he does now imo.

Yeah basically

There were even hints of it on Promised Land but there were still some great songs and vocal performances there at least

Say what you want about Promised Land, but Damaged is still one of my favorite songs by these guys

Jesus Christ, Geoff is fucking 60. Yeah I take everything back, he sounds phenomenal for his age. I wish I would’ve seen him on that acoustic tour he just did : /

I mean Rob Halford is 67 and he still sounds the same way he did in the 70s. THAT'S sounding great for your age. Tate is pitchy and his tone is just bad.

Bruce Dickinson is 60 too and he still runs around the stage like a madman while hitting all his notes.

Bruce Dickinson is probably younger than I am mentally. I don’t even really like maiden that much but watching them live is a sight to behold.

I don't really care what he sounds like now - prime Tate was far ahead of Dickinson et al.

I wouldn't say he was far ahead. He was one of the best, for sure, but so was Dickinson.

Dickinson is overrated. He's never done anything that rivals Take Hold of the Flame

Anyone can sing stuff like Hallowed Be Thy Name and Aces High agreed

He's a good singer agreed, just never got the worship. He seems to shy away from the proper 'wow' notes - usually they kinda fade out or are in the back of the mix on record. Incredible live for his age though, fair play to the geez

Dickinson was never that great tbh. He was always occasionally off-key and especially on the later albums you can really hear him straining to hit the high notes and it's hard to listen to
