Pinkerton is definitely influential in terms of sound but both albums are huge. Pretty much every emo band after them has been right on their heels in terms of style. just look at groups like The Promise Ring and Dashboard Confessional.

Never heard any of Pinkerton. Idk there's just something about his voice in Buddy Holly that's irritated me for many years and I've heard that song billions of times haha. Not my cup of tea this album :/

i like this more and i would think mong prob would too if he finds this annoying, not that i find either of them annoying but the reason critics didnt like pinkerton was specifically because they thought it was whiny and awkward
