While I agree with reviewers who say there seems to be a little too much going on in this album, without trying to be condescending, I must say that it takes a trained ear that enjoys complexity to really get this album. I heard these guys live and they sound amazing but more dynamic than on the recorded album.
While NeO's wide range of influences may turn off some listeners who do not appreciate the experimentation or idiots whose musical taste live by the retarded phrase "less is more", I find it utterly refreshing. It is definitely not an album that can be fully absorbed in only one listen. With each repeated listen, you appreciate the layering more and hear more in the music
