you should just put the opening quote in italics so the review formats better. then its just kind of an inferred quote.

I just realized a few weeks ago that Kezia is pronounced kuh - ZI - uh, not kez-ee-uh.

Is it me or is the ending to Blindfolds Aside a little to happy?

For such a song that is suppose to be sad, the ending acoustics to it makes me imagine a leprechaun decked out in green with a pot of gold tip toe hopping off to the sunrise...

not that it is important anywaysThis Message Edited On 03.03.08

Unusual lyrics, I don't really understand them but then again I haven't really bothered to pay much attention to them. Don't really understand the link between the songs but even without that, the album is still good enough for me.

I enjoyed this album though, breaks away a bit from the samey crap that the metal genre as a whole have seemingly been pumping out these last few years, with the exception of a few.

The female vocalist in this album saves some of the parts though, for example the end of She Who Mars I don't think would be half as nice without her voice.

It seems though the way they have broken the CD into "acts" is uneccessary, I mean if the album flows together like a concept album should then what is the point of dividing it like that? It gives me the impression that the band is trying too hard to achieve whatever they are aiming for :/This Message Edited On 04.14.08

It's acts because the concept is from three different points of view. I'd suggest you read up on the concept because it increases the enjoyment factor of the album a ton.

I'm loving Turn Soonest To The Sea right now. I'll listen through this with the lyrics on the screen later.

I'm gonna get my review deleted, because I think this album is pretty much brilliant in every way possible. Too bad Fortress isn't as good.

I bought both their albums after the Fortress review on this site, and I originally listened to "Fortress" a lot more then this one, but now I'm thinking that I like this album more. I like the production more, and even though Fortress is more memorable, I find myself enjoying this one more while it's on.

That isn't happening to me, I couldn't like Kezia when I heard it first which was probably a year ago, but I got the album and listened to it now and then, but when Fortress came out I instantly loved it and then appreciated Kezia more - but not more than Fortress.

The music on Fortress is better, but at the same time that's why it's not as good (if that makes any sense?). Things like the spoken part and last two minutes of "Turn Soonest to the Sea" aren't really on Fortress. Plus, this is the better concept album. That's why I give this a classic rating and not Fortress.

Some individual songs on this are better than Fortress, but Fortress has a better overall listen I'd say.

"Kezia my darling please never forget, the worlds got the substance of a frozen summer silhouette" is my favourite line out of any album right now. Sounds so awesome. Lyrics on this are better than some of Fortress' imo
