I do get what people mean about the lyrics here though. They’re cringey at times in a way that they weren’t on To the Beat of a Dead Horse. A little too on the nose and woe is me. But, only at times. I think this album otherwise improves on every element of their sound on Dead Horse. Not a huge difference though, probably give both a 4.
