"Rise Against's new album was completely ineffectual and boring. Every good song it had sounded like

worse versions of songs they've already made. Make It Stop is ceaselessly cheesy and Help Is On the

Way is uninspired. Those two songs may have "stood for something" but in my eyes, they backfired

completely. There were a few songs that started off pretty strong but they were brought down by

forgettable choruses, song length or simply homogeneity."

Sufferer was released in '06.. So yeah, they still ruled then (although I do agree Siren Song was their pinnacle).

I liked this better than Appeal to Reason. I can't remember any from that one apart from Hero of War and Savior. Still sort of mediocre, though.
