I followed this guy chris ott on the internet from like 2010-2014 or something and he was an early pitchfork writer and hated pitchfork post-his tenure there and tweeted at them being like "yo now that you're owned by conde nast you no longer have the rights to my writing in perpetuity, check my contract" etc. etc. and now if you check any piece of writing by him on that website, including, say, the 2002 year-end writeup when it won #1 album of the year, it just says
