Is Dallas Taylor a good vocalist in Maylene? I've tried listening to some of Underoath's earlier works, like When the Sun Sleeps, and he just sounds god awful.

I personally dislike the vocals in Maylene, but I love his vocals in early UO.

His vocals in Maylene are very different then his Underoath career. He's got kind of scream mixed with a yell and in my opinion it's awesome.

Sound wise they sound like crap live, but watching them jump around and twirl their guitars is pretty entertaining.

For a band that just lost their drummer and clean vocalist, I'm surprise that this album did well!
