Been binging on this one lately again. Just by listening to the closing seconds of Never Before, which is one of the less glorified songs on here, you can feel that this is a classic.

When I'm in a jam mood, Lazy is the best track on here.

But I will never get tired of Smoke on the Water. It's one of those songs that even though I heard a million times, they never make me feel tired. Sweet Home Alabama is another example.

Then we see things differently. I love Smoke, but i've heard it so many times, it kinda bore me these days. On the contrary, it's one of the first songs i'm checking out on live albums. The live versions are always fantastic.

why rate the songs, the album is 5, meaning the songs as a whole is what is important

Its just for fun dude. Also, can't say i'm very excited for a new album since Now What was pretty average for me, but hopefully it should be a little better.

They're just in auto-pilot mood, having fun which is fine by me. To be honest, I prefer some of their Morse-era albums more than Perfect Strangers.

I know, I know. But Perfect Strangers has always seemed to me like a well-dressed individual who's shitty in the inside. Might fool you once in a while (s/t, Son of Alerik) but not all the time.

The reunion of Mark II in mid 80's wasn't that fruitful imo

A hard rock classic and rarely does music sound as lively as they do on this one.
