I can't really see myself checking out anything besides TDAGARIM, which is brilliant btw. I've just always imagined it being the essential, necessary Brand New album. Idk, how does this and Deja compare?

this is a dirtier, indie-r, more aggressive direction. deja is the poppier, angstier little brother.

but both are so terrific youre missing out if you pass over either of them

TDAGARIM is their best by a distance, but Daisy and Deja Entendu are excellent as well. Your Favorite Weapon is decent but no where near as good as the later stuff.

actually, you are probably right...but i am a fan of their newer sound over the indie-pop stuff they had going on in deja, so that effects my decision. i have both albums at a 4.5 though, so lol

i think we can all agree that TDAG > deja/daisy > YFW. so the daisy vs. deja debate is just splitting hairs between two excellent albums who are only better than one another based on individual perception.

personally, i like how daisy has a sinister/creepy atmosphere. deja might have more personal sentiment, but most of that was left behind with my memories of high school; basically daisy is more relevant to me

deja is more relevant to me because I'm an angsty teenage girl

I remember the first time I heard this I actually thought it was terrible (Vices I didn't like, Bed was ehh, At the Bottom I had heard before and Gasoline is still kind of iffy with me) and then I got to You Stole and was like mm this is good

Been obsessed with this recently, thinking of upping it to a 4, I don't think I ever gave it enough of a chance. Bed, At The Bottom, You Stole and in particular Noro are too good.
