Listening to this right now, some of the best death metal I've heard. This is what I call "modern death metal", not those shitty Despised Icons and whatever. BTW, AfterTheBreakdown, if you like this band, check out Divinity.

I second Divinity, although they don't really sound like this. Still kickass though.

Yeah, they're not really tech death. I'd say they're prog death, but the spacey atmosphere remains. They're more like Into Eternity on strong steroids. Awesome video for the song "Plasma", btw. Hope some occasional clean vocals don't turn you off.

The best way to enjoy this album is sitting back in your easy chair with a brewski- kinda like Pink Floyd.

This is not "core", dawg. Want core, listen to The Contortionist - Exoplanet. Much corer than this shit

This is def more death metal than core. Akeldama was way better tho.

Haven't heard Akeldama, but this is definitely not core. Sounds much like The Aura, which is not core. U gaiz are probably reading into the band's logo and haircuts too much.

@ Smoking the Clouds. Yes in my opinion. Akeldama was better. I dont care what you say. Akeldama was better. Get over it. Songs were way more memorable. Not that many classics on here where akeldama had an autopsy, pestilence, all dark graves, and the best song Leika. BLAT!

They are all near bald, subsiding Michael, who just has long metalhead hair. And they have a rather
standard looking logo for Death Metal. I think I counted maybe 2-3 'core'-esque breakdowns on this
record.
As much as I love this album, I was actually pretty surprised to hear that Tosin Abasi regards this
as
one of his all time favorite albums.
@ToMMyMiL116 that's good for you. In your opinion you like their deathcore album more. Good for you
sport. Though saying they had no memorable songs on this album, and had multiple memorable songs on
Akeldama? lol. The issue I had with Akeldama was that is was plagued with cheesy synth, 'eh'
sounding breakdowns, and out of place vocals that didn't correspond with the instrument styling.
