This one never clicked with me as much but it's Neurosis so it's still awesome

This album, and TSIB to an extent, have always felt more like movies than albums to me

What are the main differences between this & Souls? Currently have TSIB, ToG & ASTNS - the latter is my favourite, closely followed by TSIB (haven't connected with ToG quite as much).

this is more closely relatable in sound and dark vibes to TSIB, and nearly just as imposing. same producer, yet slightly less polished obviously since it came before TSIB.
Souls was their continued evolution from The Word As Law into more progressive structures, more sludge influence, and more ambient accents into their post-hardcore/crust punk foundations a.k.a. the ingredients that started their greatness.

This is probably my least fav of their middle 7 but it's an immediate album so probably a good choice to start here

Well i picked up this along with times of grace, given to the rising and the latest one while i was out as that was everything they had in. Any particular recs? Or should i just go the whole hog and work my way through everything?

I'm on the final track of this record and I honestly think I may have found the album that gets me into Neurosis. The thick, heavy bass work off this album and those badass tribal drums and the harrowing freakish yells. This shit's good. I don't like how long some parts drag on but other wise it rocks.
