Yeah I thought the female vocals were pretty good.

I love the female vocals on Coil, and it's one of my favorite tracks on the album.

That might be my favorite after The Lotus Eater.

The first three tracks are really probably the most memorable, but I also listen to them the most when not listening to the album. Even then, I haven't listened to this enough. This Message Edited On 08.08.08

No.

Proving that I'm not as big a fanboy as I've lead you all to believe hahahahaha, no, its just her vocals are completely pointless and add nothing to the song. Mikael's range alone speaks for itself. He doesn't need a guest, EVER!

You're aware that he has a guest on Bleak, sharing chorus vocals, right?

Opeth has to keep up with the crowd (or at least themselves) and I think female vocals are one good way to expand their possibilites. I wish there was more actually.

opeth needs to keep up with the crowd by making more 5 minute non-acoustic songs.

opeth needs to make more songs like Hessian Peel... also more accoustic stuff, but you gotta keep it respective and turn up the amp a bit..... i thought Watershed did a perfect mix of it, followed by BwP. Hessian Peel for me is what Opeth should do more often and basically shows the potential this band cold be even better than what they already are.

Opeth doesn't need to keep up with anyone seeing as they have already established themselves as a very focused band already. Adding guest female vocals are the new trend in heavy metal and I really can't stand them most of the time. Sorry, this is not an argument, just stating my opinion.

Hey iaminsect, why don't you contribute anything ever anymore? Ever? Every comment you post these days is a lol or "witty" observation
I'd rather have a bag of dicks in my both of my ears then listen to every band these days have a guest female vocalist so that they are interesting and forward-thinking...female vocals and most guest vocals in general are unneccessary and just trying to ease the monotony that is the actual lead singer...
either go all out and have the singer in the band or don't do it...my word is lawThis Message Edited On 08.12.08
