"It’s not a song, that’s why"
That doesn't even make sense... What? I mean, yeah it isn't a song but like... What?

The whole point of the track is to piss off people like you
Apparently it was a success

People who don't like bad music? What does that even mean? It's just Lennon trying to make le epic avantgarde early electronic musique and failing miserably.

Yeah, it was pretty risky. That doesn't mean it doesn't suck.

Have you ever heard of Marcel Duchamp

Another thing I like about this album is there’s a lot of great intros and outros on each song that really tie everything together
|

Unfortunately, I have. Have you heard about Bruno Maderna?

but serious answer, Rev 9 was just them experimenting in the studio with what was left of Revolution and incorporating stuff from Stockhausen, Varese, Cage, etc. People often ignore and forget that Harrison had a big part in how the track turned out and attribute the song's inclusion due to Lennon and Ono's insistence, which is very much not the case at all.

I mean disliking Revolution 9 is not a wrong thing to do. It’s objectively terrible. But it’s objective value is 100% not the point. And anyway it’s 1/30th of the album, and there’s a reason not a single other song on the album resembles its style. And it’s 2018 so the skip button is readily available.
Something tells me you don’t like aenima by tool lmao

like at worst, it's harmless studio fuckery and I guarantee you just because it's The Beatles, people get in a uproar about its placement on this record. If it were on an Ono record, a Harrison record or least likely of all, a Lennon record, people wouldn't really care. The inclusion of this song on the album was and is very confrontational to those who had been along for the ride.
