Well that I can't really explain. Maybe it's just cool to hate on BTBAM or something. I just don't really like metal all that much, particularly more technical-oriented as opposed to riff/hook-oriented metal. Which might explain why I prefer PTH to BTBAM. Although I don't hate BTBAM outright, they have moments.

yeah, thats fair I guess. Their music is not easy to digest. But I definitely prefer (especially when it comes to metalcore itself) the more technical and dis-jointed style prog-core than normal metalcore (except classic metalcore like Converge or Cave In)

It's all just which style appeals to each listener I think. There's really no conspiracy against prog metal or anything, as far as I know....
