I get the "artistry" and understand the point of them but aumgn and Peking o sound like a 5 year old fucking around in a guitar center. Or me trying to shred. Gotta say I lol'd though. Glad people can enjoy them and they have parts that are really cool but the haphazardness just don't mean anything to me and other bands have done those sort of things much better. I might give those songs another chance or two but my first thoughts are I'm not gonna skip around those songs for parts I like. The rest of this is really cool though.

suppatime, it honestly was no different an experience for me than hearing harsh vocals in music for the first time. Obviously it sounds bad at first, repeated listens though are more rewarding. In the context of the album and the songs themselves, those moments are some of the best and most important
that or smoke more weed idk

Peking is hard to swallow for sure, I still struggle with the ‘freak out’
Aumgn is pure bliss from start to finish

I don't think I'd have as much of a problem with it if it didn't sound like some shit I'd done just fucking around before lmao. But yeah, aumgn was a lot cooler and more atmospheric with headphones.

I think it kind of sucks but turns out to be okay. It’s certainly daring.

Time for this one, it's been too long.
Also love the 2004 track-by-track review and first page of Souldseek discussion here haha!

I'm with Suppa on this one. Those 2 tracks are pure wank. No matter how you look at it. The problem is that the rest is godly ambrosia from the heavens so really terribly difficult album to rate.

if you are referring to Aumgn that might be my fave cut, it’s otherworldly
(un)related content: did Tango ever do a mango flava. Did they sell it in cans?

I listen to Future Days waaaaaaay more regularly now. It has admittedly been used as a go-to default selection, for when option paralysis strikes (which I shouldn't do really as it risks eroding its lustre, but man is it easy to throw on)
This is of course a comparatively monumental commitment and only to be used when warranted, yet it retains a unique placement within my wider repetoire

Yeah but Future Days is a secret super mega good one of the best albums ever... So it'll manage to survive! Good pick!
I was thinking of doing Tago-Ege-Future today, so just starting here and working my way into the future.

You would hope so! I'm just wary of mindlessness and habit adversely affecting anything sacred. I should abuse Soundtracks and Baba more for this purpose
ooh enjoy, why do I feel like this is a common Trif pastime?! hehe

Hmmm yeah, I get that. Babaluma and Soundtracks might be good ones to put into the rotation agreed, some superb moments on those.
My mindless what-do-I-listen-to-now go-to pick was Mother Sky for the longest time, RE also the Soundtracks thread being crowded with MOTHER SKYHYYYHYYYHHYYYYYYYYYY comments by me.
This indeed is a very common Trif pastime. You know me well.
