and even those two have some incredible moments
I love The Sky is Falling, Milly Michaelson, Silver Wings, Come All You Weary and Child of Dust
but As the Crow Flies and 2/3 of Earth, I could do without

god, this whole thing is so good. might actually get into this band this year.
i think ive listened to this in full like *thinks and sighs* thrice. only really came back to Earth Will Shake and Red Sky when i was first dabbling with these guys. looooooooooved For Miles on my first listen and havent come back til this year (and first listen was HS i think so over a decade whooops). but really, such a strong album front-to-back.

For Miles, The Earth Will Shake and Red Sky are all perfect songs, agreed.
Of Dust and Nations and Atlantic are close.

I saw them once here in LA on the Palms tour, it was actually my last show before Covid hit (maybe 3 months before).

“what's all y'alls favorite thrice albums
This, followed by Fire/Water (firebreather best song ever) and Major/Minor (super underrated).
Not as big on Air/Earth. Some good tracks scattered across, but find both to be inconsistent.
Beggars and Artist rule too.

@Larkin, those are def the top 5 on here. Between The End and Stand and Feel Your Worth are def up there too
still just really getting into them, listened to air/earth today for the first time (Air good! Earth ehhh)
Fire is like everything i love about the heaters on this but the intensity is just dialed to 11, god.
Artist is dope, i just stylistically prefer this.
i think i heard Major/Minor in full at some point? Anthology is def my fave by them if not For Miles. pretty sure i really liked the album
remember thinking Beggars wasn't anything special but i don't remember a single thing about it
i remember the closer on Palms being good but the rest being ehh
and yeah, we'll see how the Thrice journey goes from here!

Yeah the bookends on Palms are good and…that’s about it lol.
Give Beggars another listen for sure. It’s a grower.

If you like Major/Minor you'll almost certainly like Beggars. The opening track threw me off for a while but I can live with it now.
Palms gets rekt everywhere but to me their only stinker is To Be Everywhere. Palms has the bookends + The Grey, Just Breathe, My Soul. The rest is OK. Hold Up A Light definitely not great, sounds like it should have been on TBE ¯_(ツ)_/¯

Illusion of Safety is a decent album for sure — Deadbolt, See you in the Shallows, To awake and Avenge the Dead and the Beltsville Crucible are all solid. But some of it is just kind of meh to me. And I do not like Identity Crisis.
Artist is where they started making 3.5/4 music imo.

I would expect that as well. I prefer M/M, but more seem to lean towards Beggars as being the superior of the two.
