Because it wore off on him like it has me, and everybody else.

Right. I changed it. When I first got the CD I still had the novelty of seeing them live the night before, but now it's all worn off. I go back and listen and realize how repetitive and boring this is.

I've been meaning to rewrite this so the review reflects the rating. The same goes for Lamb of God, which I think I also gave 1 star. This Message Edited On 09.10.05

From what I have heard, this band is horrid. Their snare drum sounds like a small tin can, and his scream sounds like he has pnemonia(sp?). Is the new album any better, production-wise? And good review.

I know. I keep saying I'll redo the review, but I never get around to it. Right now, it would make no sense at all if someone tried to read it.

ive seen them live a few times, the drummer does not use a trigger. i watched his feet come down on the pedal on every beat on that part in 94 hours. hes just really fast. This Message Edited On 09.18.05

He still has to bring his feet down even if he does use a trigger. I think he uses one, because it's near impossible to get the amount of volume he gets while going that fast. That's another thing that bothered me - the bass drum was way too fucking loud in this record.

shadows fallen... listen to dimmu borgir. or nile. or any other band with death metal/ grindcore influence. it is possible. you just have to be good. this guy is good, even if hes in a band you despise. get over it, it happens to the best of us.

I don't get it. I have this album, and the drummer's double bass isn't that fast, really. I mean compare it to Chimaira's Kevin Talley, or SYL's Gene Hoglan, and he seems slow in comparison. What track(s) show him doing "impossible" double bass? I haven't really listened to this album thouroughly-it's pretty bad.

Also, what is a trigger? Dumb question, I guess, but I'm sort of confused at this point.

Chances are all of those guys use triggers too. They're extermely common in metal, and they almost become necessary once you get going so fast that it's impossible to hear.

That's alright, I've been getting that question a lot. I changed the star rating because my opinion of the album has changed over time. I don't think it's worth 3/5 anymore. I've been meaning to re-write the review to reflect how I feel now, but I just seem to keep putting it off.

They truley are one of the worst bands to come into Metalcore... and Metalcore itself doesn't have a lot of pros as a genre.

Cravinov, it's been brought to my attention that you've been rating a lot of albums as being a 5/5. While I respect your personal opinion, could you reconsider whether you really think that all of them are, as one of the problems that this site has is with loads of 5/5 ratings being given, which devalues the score. If you'd change the rating for some of them, I'd appreciate it.
