Like my super-rare limited edition Art of Balance vinyl. m/ I saw them live twice and ther were amazing both times. I managed to pick up Somber Eyes to the Sky while I was there too, which is another review I should rewrite.

Hahaha, it was worth it. I'll most likely never play the vinyl, just display it, right next to my autographed War Within shirt and autographed booklet. m/

This is a very solid album.
It's got good guitar work, solid vocals.
I heard shadows fall a very long time. (their pink floyd cover).
It's sorta modern thrash.

great album, amazing guitars and drums.
there can be room for improvement when it comes to vocals though. but a decent job with them.

This makes me cry.
No offense or anything Shadows....but you are a teeny weeny bit of a fanboy.

Yes,but keep in mind that I don't think this is good because I'm and SF fanboy. I'm an SF fanboy because I love this. I know, it's hard to belive that my love of the band is actually based on love of the music.

I like the guitar parts but hate the vocals.

People may disagree with me, but I think that this is Shadows Fallen's best album to date.
|
| |
I disagree, I find that OOB is their greatest work. Everything else is crushingly overhyped.

just like the art of balance there are a few song they should have left out...you should always expand on the great songs and leave the average ones out...
it's a great album...the last song is my favorite...

I loved this album during the summer, and yeah, it took a while for me to get used to Brian's vocals. He's very talented, but his style is just a little...peculiar? I guess that's the word to say.

^^That's definately not true, look at AC/DC for example, their sound is not original at all, yet they still sell millions upon millions of record.
This album is ok, I really like the guitar playing, but the vocals are a total turn off.

seriously. these guys shred. shadows fall is badass. saw them live twice and was in no way dissapointed at all. and i probably wouldve given inspiration on demand the same score. its amazing.

im not sure bout that one...AC/DC pretty much revolutionized the way hard rock is played...at the time, they were considered unordinary, and people even didnt like the vocals because they couldnt understand them (wonder what they'd say now huh...). I think AC/DC was about as original as they come. This Message Edited On 03.27.06

Playing rock and revolving around the same five chords and the pentatonic scale in every song doesn't mak eyou original.

Well I wouldn't say they only do that, but they're not the most original band to come around.

Sure, they don't sound original now, but think of At the Gates. Bands have taken so many influences from them that we're left with a mass of clone bands, forgetting that all of those bands came from one. AC/DC, like At the Gates, started a highly influential style that affects bands to this very day.
