I just saw a posted video of them on Carson's show on youtube and it wasn't that bad.

They were fantastic when I saw them, but I haven't seen that performance.

it was carson daly, the tv guide said Deerhoof was going to perform and my brother wanted me to see them. Instead it was this band. It was a song where they kept singing "she touched herself," it was truly awful.

No matter how much acclaim deerhoof gets, I still think they are the most annoying and one of the most overrated indie bands out there.

Hmm, Who has seen this band live? I might go see them with Saves the Day in like a month or two.

I heard they were pretty good, I may end up going to CT's version of that show.
the tv guide said Deerhoof was going to perform and my brother wanted me to see them. Instead it was this band. It was a song where they kept singing "she touched herself," it was truly awful.as well.
That song [Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too] isn't a great representation of the band.

canyoneer, they were fantastic when I saw them last October.

And yeah, I heard 'Wow, I Can Get Sexual Too' once I was done with the first disc, so I was taken aback and loved it. It's not a good first impression, sure, but I find that most people that love the band prior love the song as well.

A classic eh? I don't know about that.

I do know this is one of the best pop-punk albums, I whip it out every so often.

It's funny, the hating on Metal Now... That was the only song that Bemis didn't right by himself. According to Wikipedia, "All lyrics written by Max Bemis with the exception of "Metal Now," which was written by Bemis and Kevin Sachs (Casper Adams), according to the album's liner notes."

A fantastic review, and I agree whole-heartedly on everything.

...except Metal Now.

For me, Metal was a highlight of the album, combining catchy lyrics and fun guitar parts.

But hey, thats just me.

Great review.

Although I find them to be a perverted and awkward kind of band,

their music's catchy, and gets stuck in your head.

This is a pretty decent band as far as their sound, though.
