Happy for people who enjoy Phoebe.
I think she’s the most overrated artist of this decade.

lol I’m genuinely confused at the hate for Lost Boys. The chorus is a wet blanket? How? It’s an artwork if I’ve ever heard one

While I do think this is really good, I find that its potential is only realized when listening through headphones and immersed; otherwise, this all starts to kind of blend all together.
This has all the characteristics of a grower, so I'll digest it a little bit more before settling on any score or final perception.

just noticed the weird autocorrect on my last comment posted from my phone. it's an "earworm", not an artwork lol

Listening to this on my Audeze LCD-5's and the production on this album is nothing short of stellar. The entire album is beautifully layered and the textures within each song ensure the album remains cohesive throughout. Few modern albums receive this much care and attention.
Sonic characteristics aside, I don't think Lost Weekend is an album you can simply pick up and enjoy. More so than her previous albums, Lost Weekend requires a specific state of mind. To make a comparison, The Seer by Swans is on occasion, the absolute greatest album that I've ever listened to, but mostly it's an album I'd gladly bypass. I think Lost Weekend falls into this same category of listening experiences.

tbh yeah I’m liking it more and more. Still think the front half is much stronger than the back half, but it’s all growing on me.

Yeah, this is amazing. I was pretty scared when I saw that Antonoff was involved, but it looks like he did a good job for once

The electronic vocal parts of this remind me so much of Imogen Heap but that's a good thing

On the first couple listens, there's a lot of good stuff here, but I feel like there's also a lot of fat that can be trimmed. I'm shocked that Fantano almost gave this a 10, I feel like I'm missing something and/or it's just not quite clicking yet. Lost Boys is my favorite so far.

governor's waltz is so fucking annoying goddd get that milennial barista shit away from me. The Alex G-adjacent stuff is good, title track is great. Could barely tell that was JB on electric guitar in bobby, tbh
