I commented elsewhere that I didn't think it was as bad as advertised but I couldn't cobble together a positive review if I tried. At best it's a 2.5: has some interesting ideas but is smothered under a veneer of faux avant-garde "experimentation." It's the band playing to their worst impulses. I honestly could see folks remixing these into something better.

I mean it's turning heads among people who either don't like A7X or have an axe to grind with them anyway. The regular A7X fandom is too busy playing Twister trying to outglaze one another in support of this EP. I personally do not want to see where they go next. Even going back through LIBAD last week and the sheen on that has worn out a little. "Nobody" and "Cosmic" still bang, but the stylistic choices on Statica are just the histrionics of LIBAD pushed to 11.

I cant recall what piece of music made me feel so uncofortable than this one. I seek for kind of shocking experiences all the times, but this one was just pure disgust. Shockingly horrible, not horribly shocking. Babbys first acid trip. Horrible.

Tried to check out cause I was curious.. Stopped listening after 20 seconds. I don't think I ever stopped listening to an album that fast before.
