It is kind of crazy to fumble the momentum of Brat like that in such a short amount of time

Wuthering Heights was overlooked, in my opinion. Had some really solid stuff.

I never saw the hype with How I'm Feeling Now to be honest, but Brat and this I've really dug. Even Crash was a pretty fun listen.

I am really not surprised by how this is getting destroyed here.. Sure it is not that good, but it is not 1 , 1,5 or 2 bad..
At the same time , here on Sputnik some fucking atrocious black metal or death metal album that are the same shit from 20 years ago recycled over and over get rated high..
Maybe im just getting too old for metal in general where I feel almost everything became stagnant and no real innovation happen.. No im not calling anything here "innovation" , far from that, but at least it try to break a mold , although maybe not a great one

You gotta go full circle and get into hardcore. Then you can really embrace the art of ripping bands off

Hardcore is about the same.. it became so fucking boring to me recently.. Beside the Converge and rare band that try things

I find music is more enjoyable when I’m not constantly looking for innovative and challenging sounds. Nothing wrong w some “basic” shit done well

I love pop music. These days, I listen to pop music at least as much as I listen to punk or metal - probably more.
This album is ass.

I mean, that's why brat is SO good to this day; it's not "innovative" or "cutting-edge" (labels that were thrown around for previous albums) but it was a club-pop record done well with some gigantic bangers and, at the end of the day, that's what matters

PanosChris hit the nail on the head. I want to hear some bangers. This has no bangers. It's tasteless grey mush.

Pop has had a good year this year (Slayyyter my GOAT, Underscores, Kim Petras, Kelela)
This ain't it.
Edit: new CRJ in September too! Seems promising from the singles

Pop has had a good year this year [2]
And I'm hoping that continues in a few months with the new Rebecca Black.

My gripe with this is that every fiber of this album's existence is resisting to put down a memorable song in favor of sounding "different", "subversive" and "unconventional". But "fun, catchy pop" and "unconventional" are not opposing terms.
But yeah, pop has been good so far (and hopefully that continues!)
