I think these guys have a lot of potentital, is this one any less "one giant song" then O' God... was?

Kind of a disappointing album...like they were trying focused on selling records instead of the music quality.

eh i kinda think its the Norma Jean that was created when you cant re-do O God but dont want to do a Bless The Martyr again. Over all i think this album showed a third side to Norma Jean

great review...but i hate this cd. its not norma jean. its just not. listening to this for the first time [having this cd since its premier day] i loved it, but shortly i went back to the luti-cris roots and bless the martyr debut...i found i didnt enjoy them as norma jean, but more as an old underoath. I hate to compare the too, but thats who redeemer reminds me of. Not worth the purchase...limewire this one.

Listening to this right now.

Doesn't touch BTMKTC or OGTA but hey, it really isn't as bad as some people are making out.

It is still brutal but there seem to be more structure to the songs rather than out and out chaos and cacophony.

Cemetery Like Stage is quite cool. Different to anything else they've ever done.

Good review,to be honest I saw the video for I think Blueprints for New Homes, and I thought they were metallica for a minute or two.

This is definately their worst album, under their current name anyways.

I used to dislike this band quite a bit, but this CD's really grown on me lately. "Grand Scene for a Color Film" and "End of All Things Will Be Televised" are insanely fun songs.

first of all good review. A Small Spark Vs. A Great Forest is easily my favorite song off this album.

I *cough*also prefer Cory Brandan over Josh Scogin. He just seems to spice up the band rather than Scogin imo.
