The inconsistency in production from song to song drives me up the wall.

“make me forget you is the best song on both albums”
I’d probably agree but I need to listen to this a whole lot more, even if that winds up being true that’s still an insanely high bar. That song is peak converge man

I love how much more prominent Nate is on vocals… this is the best he’s ever been on that front.
And I don’t really hear much inconsistency with the production man? I’m not saying you’re wrong but can you point out some examples?

Yeah I gotta say the transition from that instrumental to the title track here blows Beyond Repair - Amon Amok out of the fucking water

It Used to Matter is a much better instrumental than Beyond Repair too imo. Both are good at setting the mood but it’s just much more engaging imo… Beyond Repair just feels a little repetitive compared to it

I cannot stress enough that just one of these records would’ve been worth the wait and instead we got two.
The world is on fire, things haven’t really ever been harder and my life is falling apart… so thank fucking god for new Converge (and Static Dress…)

Yeah I really do not understand the production complaint… if anything this somehow sounds even better than Love is Not Enough, feels like a much beefier low end to me but that could also be them having written it with that intention.

Yeah I really like this one, was not that big on the other release from this year but I might revisit that.

Love Is Not Enough has become one of my favorite Converge albums. Interested in hearing how this measures up!

And then let’s hope for an EP with whatever’s left to tie it all together, because I’m almost certain somebody in the band said they had close to 30 songs

Bro, that would be KILLER.

unsurprisingly this is fucking excellent. def feeling this is more punk-y, looser and rawer than LINE which was more metal and more precise.
agree with whoever said Make Me Forget You and Dream Debris are the best but theres ragers everywhere. i know converge fans are like the tool fans of metalcore but honestly what a fucking band
