Between panopticon and paysage I’m not even sure which is the better one man project.

They're so close.

This guy is a way better musician and composer but Paysage’s atmosphere is unmatched

I’d agree with that

I love paysage but I gotta go with panopticon and it's not that close. More interesting riffs/songwriting and real drums vs programmed drums

musicianship goes to Panopticon but none of his albums have made me absolutely lose myself in it the way Winterkalte does.

I get less enthusiastic about this project with every release... he peaked with 'Kentucky'

@sevengill
Winterkalte is awesome. I like pretty much all paysage but I gotta be in the mood for it. I'd really be interested to hear how something like winterkalte would sound with some really raw pummeling live drumming. I know live drumming seems ridiculous for 17 minute songs that maintain the same beat for long periods of time though lol

Kentucky rules hard imo, but he definitely didn't peak with it.

I like it ok but it's definitely my least favorite

Social Disservices and Laurentian Blue are easily my least favs and the only bad stuff he's ever done imo.

This albums just solidifies Panopticon as one of my favorite BM projects of all time. Almost flawless discography for me (not that big of a fan of Social Disservices, although it has some good moments)
