Trembling Level / Urchin was just a standalone single recorded before the album sessions for their Glassjaw tour I believe. Urchin wasn't released digitally but a hero on Reddit ripped it and uploaded it, I got it if you want it

I still haven't heard Urchin... is it sick?

Yeah it's sick, it's a quick hardcore banger with a tight little solo at the end https://mega.nz/file/vZxmnYJS#MFYCqmsn50HLP6Jq8MejEiK9hhD6EFJhc4sAe_tV4LY

second to Converge for me but enjoyed this more than I was expecting to. Its just so god damn manly and gruff. Too many badass breakdowns to count

I prefer this to the new Converge tbh

Melted would definitely fit closer to the beginning of the album.. and I believe Plague would work as a penultimate track (second to last). Although I'd probably still put Mercedes directly after Drifting as a closer just because it fits at the end and no where else

For my first time with PTW... this is seriously fucking mid. Just finished the first half, Wax to Thoroughbreds are awesome but every track with more cleans drags like teeth on concrete. Everything Hurts is outright annoying.

Kinda agree pod... Also first record from them and I think these high rating folks are surfing crazy nostalgia waves
|
| |
Might be the case. I understand the hype but this doesn't cut it for me, not aggressive enough. The first 3 tracks go hard, Urchin goes even harder and it's a shame it's not on the record.

I dig this, but I do agree that its being way overhyped.

Idk this is like Poison the Well fan service without diluting the product. I felt this record could have been really great or mid given the time in between records and Trembling Level being underwhelming but this truly is another great record in their discog. Time will tell how well it ages but I really appreciate this

Yeah Urchin fuckin rules. Thanks for sharing Strizz
Everything Hurts has been stuck in my head all week. Might be my new favorite on here.

I feel like this hits harder w the discog context agreed. Particularly Tropic and the I/II/III EPs but this borrows from everything that came before

Thanks Strizzz, wasn’t even aware of that track!
With Glassjaw? Fukn A, bet that was epic. Glassjaw puts on a great show. Just electric, kinetic energy. I saw them as an opener so unf not a full set though. Can’t remember who they opened for. Almost wanna say Tool, or maybe APC? Can’t recall for certain.
