I agree about Pelagic, they rarely miss with their releases--they've got some serious talent signed on.

I find their previous albums to be good, but not something I would return to often, bar a few songs. Somehow they come off as a bit too self-indulgent and samey.
Not this one, though. It's far more cohesive, dynamic and the songwriting is noticeably more interesting. Not to mention how well it balances heavy and calm parts with some fantastic climaxes. The atmosphere, too, took a few steps forward and gives the whole thing a more cinematic feel.
Now, I know this isn't all that original compared to its predecessors, but Psychonaut seriously upped their game with this album. Will give it more time in the coming days, although I think it could only get better with repeat listening.
