Man, probably not top 5 for me, but definitely in the upper tier for sure.

This just feels very unique among current releases, something old school and classic about it too.

Very different albums, but that's a similar feeling to the one I had with The Cure coming back last year.

This is just pure fun and never gets boring even for an 80 minute album. So much here to keep you engaged.

Jim said on reddit that Tim left another two albums worth of compositions behind and they plan on getting those done after the LSD cycle ends.

Much like The Cure's retirement trilogy they're probably gonna get straight into it as soon as they have time and they'll be done and out within the next couple of years.

Cardiacs/Cure farewell tour 2027-28 anyone?

Saw these supporting Blur back in 1995.
I still look back at it and think I’ve never seen anything else that comes close to them and not necessarily in a good way.
30yrs later and with Tim gone it is mental that this album exists, it’s an absolute classic.

Doof where would you recommend I go next after hearing/loving this and Sing to God?

I'm no expert on Cardiacs but really the only other one I know quite well is 'A Little Man and a House' - it's interesting to hear what they sounded like at the start/in the '80s.

I prefer that one to 'Sing to God' - StG is really intense, like jumping out of a plane, find it hard to make it through the whole runtime.

This I can listen all the way through no problem.

A Little Man... and On Land and In The Sea are their best studio albums imo. I like to think of it as their proggy side and punky side respectively. Both absolute trips.

@Hawks, I would just start from the beginning. This and Sing To God feel similar in a way (with this being less intense), but starting from the ground up is the best way to see how they got to this point, and I don't think they've got a bad album in them
