While their first 2 records are my favorite, I guess I don't totally get the level of dislike here. It's a solid metal record and offers some new variety in their sound, and the melody doesn't feel super shoehorned in to me, nor is the heaviness really compromised. Seems like a natural progression from Conquering.

ya but I didn’t care for that record either tbh. Eternal Forward Motion was imo a good “mainstream” sound for them. Still had all the chaotic bits that the nerds love and then dumb two step riffs for the normies.

I've been enjoying their progression. It does feel "bigger" and maybe more arena ready, but it's still heavy and has a lot of variety that I enjoy.

I think it’s actually good! I threw it in the mix with my regular work playlist last night and legit was like “this is good shit, who tf is this??” Forgetting that they made a song that wasn’t cheeks
