OK Premonition is cool but I think these guys focus a bit too much on their technical skills for me. Works in the more aggressive tracks but when they try to get more melodic the rapid drumming and/or guitar work gets in the way. Their hooks and melodies also don't really hit the mark for me, the relatively flat production doesn't help there.

Wandering Oak had a really cool album last year. It takes folk metal and mixes it with everything from meloblack to USPM to tech thrash. I'd definitely recommend it.

I do still genuinely love them lol
They were the first folk metal band I ever got into and in hindsight might have been the perfect segway for me as a predominantly core kid to get into folk metal
