@Hawks: Feel free to post your review whenever. I'm not concerned about any thunder. I write these reviews because I'm (kind of) expected to if I download the promo.
I told you guys this thing riffs.

Hammer and Cryptoriana are both absolutely amazing but they've really gone full force brutality on Existence and this. I mean this album is crushing almost in a dm kind of way.

Non Omnis Moriar is amazing.

The "worst" track here is like a 3.5/5 anyways lol. Consistently killer album much like the previous 3. Band's best stretch since the first 5 albums easy.

"God no. If anything, it's Midian 2.0, with hints of Dusk..., but pushed through the formula established with Hammer of the Witches"
this does sound like a pretty rad formula... do ppl say "rad" anymore?
will be diving in later hopefully, as I've enjoyed all the more recent stuff (and some of their earlier offerings too)

The bass on Ex Sanguine Draculaeeeeeeeeeee
Edit: calling it now, strongest track on the album for me at the moment

Hmmmmmm! Demagoguery is super nice.
"The bass on Ex Sanguine Draculaeeeeeeeeeee"
OH that is promising! Since the bass sections on Trinity of Shadows are also super nice!

"Yet even by the high standard set by their last three releases, they've truly stepped it up."
"one of their strongest performances yet"
Just finished the record. I don't know if I agree with these statements Willie, but I definitely did mega enjoy the ride! It's certainly not (much?) weaker than the three that came before.

Damn, they have been on like a 4 album kick now.
Tbh all 4 of them are pretty equal to me in terms of quality, not something I would have expected from like 2003 to 2014 or so lol

And woah
Oh my FUCK
This might be neck in neck with Hammer as my 2nd favorite Cradle
There's a variety of riff game ranging from crunchy 80s thrash to fuzzy black metal chords that sorta reminisce Dusk and Her Embrace and even sick bass lines? And even what I believe to be a Dani Filth vocoder moment (but wait-the vocoder sounds good??)
Only track I don't love yet is To Live Deliciously but otherwise this is full of top 10 CoF moments

Haha.
This is the bollocks!!
Again the riffs and meat and potato theatrical oomph on this level cannot be found anywhere else
Sets the standard.

i didn't like the singles much but i'm curious to give this a spin. both singles felt pretty reminiscent of nymphatamine era cradle which i do have a bit of nostalgia for - maybe a spin of the whole thing will make it click.
