I think it’s a little overlong for this style of music but I can’t really think of what I would cut out. Jammed it again last night right after the Deafheaven record and I think I actually like this more, idk… not a lot of mathy shit clicks with me but these guys have “it”, and I’m not even really sure what “it” is.

Listened to this again too after jamming Deafheaven a bunch yesterday and yeah this certainly got a lot of variation without sacrificing cohesiveness and sound. New DH is a stunner but i like this a tad bit more as well me thinks

This is so damn good. Hard to say if it is better than the new Daoboys but why even compare them when they both rule hard.
I will say that this certainly has a more distinct feel to it i think. A bit more atmosphere and mystery to it. Noose Shaped Galaxy appeared on my playlyst yesterday and i realized it is time to listen to this agan because this certainly is up there among the best albums of the year thus far and my god this year has been a good one

Well my main argument would be the 4 pgs vs 42 pgs in the respective threads, all I was saying is this deserves as many eyes on it at least, as something in the same vein of at least equal quality.

This is phenomenal and is back to being my aoty tbh
In a way I think I respect the Daoboys record more, they really swung for the fences with that one, but I do think this record is just more consistent.
1. Jackal Twins
2. Deafheaven
3. Callous Daoboys

Check out Crowquill's debut EP. It's kinda similar to this (bit of a Inside the Beehive too) and it slaps just as hard.
